LegalOrControlled is an independent reference project that summarizes publicly available medication-classification data by country.
What we do
Each guide explains whether a specific medication is legal, controlled, or restricted in a specific country, based on publicly available regulatory sources such as the FDA, MHRA, TGA, PMDA, and equivalent national authorities. Every guide includes the date it was last checked.
Who writes the guides
There is currently no named medical, legal, or pharmacological expert affiliated with this project. Guides are researched and drafted using publicly available regulatory sources, then reviewed before publishing. See our Methodology page for how we source and check every guide.
